Who is this chick and why the weird obsession with authenticity?
When I was 42, I was tapped to lead a 9-figure financial company. Sounds cool, eh? Well, the company was kinda in the pooper and I had no idea how to be a CEO.
But after three years at the helm, we were able to triple our earnings while also sending employee engagement skyrocketing.
However, the truth is: I thought I got lucky. I was waiting to be “found out,” because it just seemed a bit too ... dare I say, easy.
It wasn’t until I decided to retire to do something more entrepreneurial that the answer got flung my way.
